General Rules

Guild Rules; Section A

Enforcement of these rules is carried out by the guilds High Council (refer to the Ranks page for more info). All related disciplinary actions are made at their discretion and judgements should be presumed as final unless told otherwise. In exceptional cases, the Enlightened (@Azurhaea) may intervene, but the High Council are trusted to manage the guild at all times.

Our members are expected to be aware of these rules at all times. While you are obviously not required to memorise them, please refer to them if you have any doubts about how our guild runs.

A: Our General Rules of Membership

Keep guild chat, voice chat & forum posts clean of any offensive subjects. We are a family guild and there are a wide range of people who play this game with us. While we like to think that we have a mature and sensible community in this guild, excessive use of profanity, discussion of sensitive subjects (as judged by our High Council), abuse of guild members or other such undesirable acts are strictly forbidden. Anything that is not of a ‘family-friendly’ nature should be discussed in private.

Advertisement of any subject associated with personal or commercial monetary gain is not allowed. ESO allows players to be members of up to five guilds at once; our members are permitted to be involved in other guilds, but we do not allow our guild’s resources to be used for the benefit of a rival guild.

Advertisement of rival/other guilds. You must gain permission from the Enlightened (@Azurhaea) if you wish to advertise other guilds in the guild chat, forums etc. This will only be allowed on an occasional basis, if it is excessive you will be asked to cease and desist. We wish to help our fellow guilds, thus this rule.

No discussion of religion or politics within chat. We all hold our personal religious beliefs and political views but others may not see it the same way and even friendly debates can get heated quickly. So best to refrain from this completely.

Harassment of any kind against other members of the guild is strictly forbidden. Azura's Light is first and foremost about having fun, socialising with other members and making the most of The Elder Scrolls and gaming in general. Any deliberate attempt to worsen this experience for another member will be dealt with seriously. If you feel that you are a victim of any such behaviour, contact a member of the High Council privately to discuss a solution. Anything judged to be severe harassment will result in an immediate removal from the guild.

Please keep spam to a minimum. We all know you want to sell your items and that is what we are here for, but with that being said, no one enjoys seeing “WTS 100 Worms 1000g!!!” a hundred times. Please keep your “hawking” posts to once per every 2-3 minutes. This will keep guild chat fairly clear and will still give you adequate “air time” for your wares.

One Week Trial Policy. We have a one (1) week trial policy for new recruits. This is where your behavior and conduct within the guild will be monitored extensively. After which, if you pass you will be promoted to a fully fledged member of the guild. A condition to pass is to be registered and active on the guild website. If not, you shall be removed. Appeals may be made to The Enlightened (@Azurhaea), if you feel an error in judgement was made.

In conjunction with rule 7: New members must be 18 years of age, or have the acceptable level of maturity to join Azura's Light. For a guild maturity is everything, and we want our community to be the best. Therefore we require that our members are minumum 18 years of age, or have the acceptable level of maturity. The maturity of a guild member younger than 18, must be approved by a member of the High Council or The Enlightened. To be mature enough means that you must know when you can and cannot be inappropriate.

Members must be active within the guild. This means both by showing their presence online, but also participating in some of the events we do. You are not required to participate in all or most events, we would just like to see you participate in what you think would be fun.

Two Week Inactivity Policy: Any members found to have been inactive for a total of two (2) weeks, will be removed.

In conjunction with Rules 9 & 10: There are allowed exceptions, such as Real Life circumstances like for e.g. school. So long as a the Enlightened (@Azurhaea) or a member of the High Council is informed as to why you may not be around, or available. This will be noted down.

As stated later on in the rules also, we ask that when you become a member of the guild. That you register in the guild website/forums and the Team Speak server your Username be the same as your ESO UserID. This so we know who is who

Members who sell items please try to keep your Guild Store listings at a full 30 of 30. This is not really a rule but more of a good “rule of thumb” for our members who sell in the Guild Store. Keeping the Guild Store full helps a) you, by earning you money, and b) the guild, by allowing our store to have a wider array of items to sell and also gives the guild more cash flow to help us bid on guild traders in the game.
